The primary purpose of this role is to be a key member of the Deskside Support and Engineering Services team, delivering high-quality ICT support across West Mercia Police while providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to colleagues. The role contributes to the delivery of a responsive, customer-focused and efficient end-to-end technology service that supports both frontline policing and business operations.

The post holder will provide advanced technical support, maintenance and lifecycle management for a wide range of ICT services and equipment, including CCTV systems, Airwave and operational radios, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, body-worn technology and specialist policing applications. They will work proactively to resolve technical issues, improve service performance and ensure officers and staff have access to reliable, secure and fit-for-purpose technology.

To be responsible for the day-to-day supervising staff across the Deskside Support and Engineering Services teams, coordinating workloads, overseeing daily operations and supporting the professional development of team members to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality ICT services across the force.

• The Senior Specialist Deskside & Engineering Services role is an office based role
• Applicants must have resided in the UK for a continuous period of at least 5 years immediately prior to submitting your application. This is to ensure a checkable history that satisfies the Management Vetting (MV) / Security Check (SC) standards required for this post
