Job summary

TeacherActive is working with Nottingham area secondary schools seeking a confident and adaptable DT Teacher to join their team on a day-to-day basis, with potential long-term roles. You will teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils to progress.

The role requires QTS with a Design and Technology specialism. You should have experience teaching DT in UK secondary schools, with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 and demonstrate strong subject

Qualifications

  • QTS with a Design and Technology specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply).
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology within a UK secondary school.
  • Experience teaching students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a flexible, adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4 with engaging lessons.
  • Maintain excellent classroom management and support pupils to make strong progress.
  • Adapt to different schools and learning environments with a proactive mindset.

Job description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with secondary schools in the Nottingham area who are looking for a confident and adaptable DT Teacher. The schools provide supportive learning environments where staff are committed to maintaining high expectations and helping pupils engage positively with their education.

The DT Teacher will initially work on a day-to-day basis, with the possibility of long-term opportunities. The successful applicant will teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons while maintaining excellent classroom management and supporting pupils to make strong progress.

The successful DT Teacher will have:

  • QTS with a Design and Technology specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology within a UK secondary school
  • Experience teaching students across KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
