TeacherActive is recruiting a Design Technology Technician for a secondary school in Chesterfield. This full-time, temporary position runs for the rest of the academic year with immediate start.

You will support lesson preparation, maintain a safe DT workshop, and assist staff to run practical lessons smoothly. The role requires experience in a Design Technology or workshop environment and a proactive, flexible approach.

Are you an organised and practical Design Technology Technician looking for a full-time role in a secondary school?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Chesterfield that offers state-of-the-art Design Technology facilities. The school provides a well-equipped environment designed to support practical learning and give students access to high-quality DT resources.

The school is looking to appoint a Design Technology Technician on a full-time basis, working five days per week for the rest of the academic year with an immediate start. The successful Design Technology Technician will support the preparation of materials and equipment, maintain workshop areas and assist teaching staff to ensure practical lessons run safely and effectively.

The successful Design Technology Technician will have:

• A Health and Safety qualification is preferred but not essential
• Experience working in a Design Technology, workshop or practical learning environment
• Knowledge of safe working practices and equipment maintenance
• Strong organisational skills
• The ability to prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons
• A reliable, proactive and flexible approach
