Job summary

BEAR Scotland Limited is seeking a Design Technician to join our North West Trunk Road Unit on a full-time basis. You will develop priority defect repairs, designing traffic signs and interventions to keep the trunk road network safe for all users, reporting to the Design Team Leader within the Asset Team.

Candidates should have or be working toward an HNC or HND in Civil Engineering; a Full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• HNC or HND in Civil Engineering is preferred or candidate will be supported to study.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Junior Technician path available for development

Responsibilities

• Preparation of designs, including drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and Operations Instructions to enable repair of traffic signs and other defects.
• Compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
• Compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures that form part of the company’s Integrated Management Systems
