Job summary

BEAR Scotland Limited is seeking a Roads Technician to support pavement investigation activities and the delivery of trunk road improvement schemes across the Northwest network. The role is based in Perth with hybrid working options, combining office days with remote work and site involvement.

You will work with engineers to develop technical information, assist surveys, and help ensure compliance with technical standards.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Civil Engineering (or working towards).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of DMRB.
• Good understanding of civil engineering drawings.
• Experience supporting infrastructure or road projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop technical information and support delivery of works on site.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver pavement investigation activities.
• Assist in preparing specifications, reports and project documentation.
• Support project delivery teams and contractors.
• Contribute to surveys and site-based activities where required.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with technical standards.
