Balfour Beatty Power T&D in Scotland is seeking a Design Manager - Roads to lead design delivery on the Skye OHL and UGC projects. The role requires coordinating pre-construction and construction design work, leading design teams and maintaining schedule integrity while liaising with commercial, production and engineering colleagues.

The successful candidate will have proven leadership in a matrix organisation, strong communication skills, BIM knowledge and familiarity with NEC3 contracts.

Qualifikationen

• HND or higher Academic base.
• Relevant professional membership with an appropriate institute recommended.
• Excellent IT skills and Microsoft Office are essential.
• Numeracy and report writing are required.

Aufgaben

• Manage the development and implementation of design proposals to meet customer requirements within budget.
• Lead the design deliverables programme and sign-off at each project gate.
• Coordinate design data, reports and documentation for contractual requirements.
• Lead the buildability reviews with design and construction teams.
• Liaise with statutory bodies and authorities as required.
• Support BIM Common Data Environment and workflows implementation.
• Lead Value Engineering and Lean techniques to reduce costs and waste.
• Capture learning and share best practices across the business.
