Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an Engineering Manager to provide strategic engineering and design management for a major Skye Reinforcement project. You will lead a multi-disciplinary design team, ensure governance and value engineering, and collaborate with the Project Manager to manage budgets, risks and programme.

The role requires travel to the Isle of Skye and close engagement with internal and external stakeholders, delivering safe, high-quality engineering solutions through the project

Formación

• Experience in engineering, design delivery management or related delivery management role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to health and safety principles and Zero Harm philosophy.
• Experience managing project budgets and resources.
• Solid engineering knowledge across relevant disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Manages and coordinates the design solution with the Project Manager.
• Leads a multi-disciplinary design team: Civil, Structural, Line Design, Substations, Cabling.
• Oversees design governance, budget, programme, and change management.
• Leads safety reviews, constructability and value-for-money assessments.
• Maintains project documentation and monthly reporting; engages with stakeholders.
• Ensures BIM implementation and supports project delivery from bid to handover.
