Job summary

The Resolute Group Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Design Manager to lead design from ECI through detailed design and delivery across Scotland's power transmission projects.

You will coordinate electrical design with engineering, construction, commercial and client teams, ensure designs are compliant and buildable, and manage multidisciplinary interfaces with stakeholders. This role offers a strong pipeline and long-term career development in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Electrical Design Manager or similar role in large infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to manage electrical design across ECI, pre-construction, detailed design and construction.
• Experience coordinating designers, consultants and delivery teams with stakeholders.

A perfect first step in getting into the Power and Energy sector, moving from designing or coordinating in other sectors such as Rail.

Based: Glasgow

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + £6,700 Car Allowance or Company Car + Bonus + Package

Hybrid working 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days from home.

The Resolute Group is working with a major UK infrastructure contractor to appoint an Electrical Design Manager to support the delivery of major power transmission and distribution projects across Scotland.

This is an opportunity to join a growing team delivering a significant pipeline of high-voltage electricity infrastructure, including new and upgraded substations, overhead transmission lines, underground cable connections and associated infrastructure.

You will lead and coordinate electrical design from ECI and pre-construction through detailed design and delivery, working closely with engineering, construction, commercial and client teams to ensure designs are technically compliant, coordinated and buildable.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience as an Electrical Design Manager, Design Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer or Engineering Manager.
• Strong experience managing electrical design and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
• Experience taking the design through ECI, pre-construction, detailed design and construction.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate designers, consultants and delivery teams.

Candidates from wider utilities and infrastructure backgrounds with strong electrical design management experience will also be considered.
