Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment Limited is seeking a Design Manager for a leading property and construction business. The role covers pre-construction through to completion, coordinating the design process across projects, and ensuring timely delivery to programme.

You will work with Project Managers, commercial teams, architects, engineers and site teams, taking responsibility for design coordination, compliance with Building Regulations, and value engineering when required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing design packages across construction lifecycle.
• Proven ability coordinating designers, engineers and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design process from pre-construction through to project completion.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and specialists.
• Lead design coordination meetings and drive actions through to completion.
• Manage design programmes, trackers and deliverables.
• Review drawings and technical information for compliance.
• Support procurement and ensure design responsibilities are clear.
