Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment seeks an experienced Design Manager with a main contracting background to join a growing property and construction business in Hatfield. You will oversee the design process from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating with internal teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure fully coordinated and compliant designs.

The role offers a permanent position with a competitive salary dependent on experience, and opportunities across a varied project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience managing design packages for a main contractor.
• Proven ability to coordinate architects, engineers and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design process from pre-construction through to completion.
• Lead design coordination meetings and drive actions to completion.
• Coordinate design information with Project Managers, commercial teams and site personnel.
• Review drawings and technical information, resolve design clashes and risks.
• Ensure designs comply with programme requirements.
