Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Facades Design Manager in the London area. The role involves overseeing façade design across multiple projects, from concept through construction, and coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to maintain high technical and commercial standards.

The candidate will manage design programmes, ensure buildability and safety, and provide technical input into tenders and pre-construction activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in façade design or design management on multiple projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate façade design activities across multiple projects.
• Lead the design process from concept to construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical information.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, contractors and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve technical and buildability issues.
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations and standards.
• Manage design programmes and deliver key milestones.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to develop façade systems.
• Provide technical input into tenders and pre-construction activities.
• Monitor design changes and assess impact on cost and schedule.
• Support site teams with technical guidance during construction.
• Maintain design documentation and approvals.
