Job summary

Barratt Redrow PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Civil/Building Engineer to join our Design and Technical teams. You will coordinate external design consultants, manage production information, and ensure planning and Building Regulations compliance across sites.

The role requires a construction background, knowledge of NHBC and related legislation, and the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver value and sustainability on a variety of sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Civil / Building Engineer or holds a Construction-related degree with relevant experience
• Good technical knowledge of both house and apartment construction
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, Party Wall Awards and associated legislation
• Strong communication and multi-disciplinary team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Coordinate external design consultants and obtain approvals
• Produce and issue production information to programme and scope
• Assist in Design Programmes and present at Progression Meetings
• Ensure planning and building control conditions are discharged
• Attend site progress meetings and carry out site inspections
• Respond to site queries and resolve technical issues
