Job summary

The Range is seeking a Deputy Store Manager (Shop Floor) for our Blackburn store at Greenbank Retail Park. You will work alongside the Store Manager to lead daily operations, inspire colleagues and ensure customers enjoy a welcoming, well-stocked shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of retail KPIs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to influence, engage and motivate others.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Motivate, coach and develop colleagues to achieve their full potential.
• Support the delivery of strong commercial results by driving sales, labour productivity and stock control.
• Help create a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused team culture.
• Ensure the Store is always clean, full, priced and ready to trade.
• Support effective rota planning and daily operational management.
• Conduct regular shop floor walks to identify service and sales improvements.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Deputise for the Store Manager when required and confidently lead the Store operation.
• Promote company values, standards and behaviours at all times.
