Job summary

The Range in Sheffield is seeking a Deputy Store Manager (Shop Floor) to support the Store Manager with daily operations, motivate the team and ensure a welcoming, well-stocked shopping experience for customers.

You will lead by example on customer service, drive sales, manage rota planning, develop colleagues, and uphold the company values as you help the store deliver outstanding results and growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of retail KPIs.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Motivate, coach and develop colleagues to achieve their full potential.
• Support the delivery of strong commercial results by driving sales, labour productivity and stock control.
• Help create a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused team culture.
• Ensure the store is always clean, full, priced and ready to trade.
• Support effective rota planning and daily operational management.
• Conduct regular shop floor walks, identifying opportunities to improve service and sales.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Deputise for the Store Manager when required and confidently lead the Store operation.
