Job summary

The Range in Upton is seeking a Deputy Store Manager (Shop Floor) to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving commercial performance. You will lead by example on the shop floor, motivate the team, manage stock, and ensure the store runs smoothly every day.

We are looking for an enthusiastic retail leader with strong communication skills, a passion for service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of retail KPIs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to influence, engage and motivate others.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Store operation in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Motivate and develop colleagues to reach their full potential.
• Drive sales, productivity and stock control to deliver strong commercial results.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and store presentation.
• Create a positive, engaging team culture and effective rota planning.
• Support recruitment, training and performance management as needed.
• Deputise for the Store Manager when required and lead operational excellence.
