Job summary

The Range is seeking a Deputy Store Manager (Shop Floor) to support the Store Manager in delivering outstanding results across customer service, team development, operational excellence and commercial performance on the shop floor.

You will lead by example, motivate and coach colleagues, drive sales and stock control, ensure the store is clean, priced and ready to trade, and deputise for the Store Manager when required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing retail teams.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Good awareness of retail KPIs and commercial targets.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Able to influence and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Motivate, coach and develop colleagues to achieve their full potential.
• Support the delivery of strong commercial results by driving sales, labour productivity and stock control.
• Help create a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused team culture.
• Ensure the Store is always clean, full, priced and ready to trade.
• Support effective rota planning and daily operational management.
• Conduct regular shop floor walks, identifying opportunities to improve service and sales.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Deputise for the Store Manager when required and confidently lead the Store operation.
• Promote company values, standards and behaviours at all times.
