Job summary

Jollyes Pets in Dundee is seeking a Deputy Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team and delivering excellent customer service. The role is full-time (40 hours per week, five days, with evenings and weekends as needed), with a salary of £28,038–£28,500 per year and a bonus potential of up to £2,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Proven retail supervisory or management experience.
• Ability to coach and motivate a team to hit KPIs.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of costs and margins.
• Full driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations.
• Lead a small team, deputise in their absence, and nurture a positive store culture.
• Drive KPI performance around people, standards, service and financials.
• Encourage value-add conversations and upsell appropriately.
• Ensure high standards of pet care, welfare and compliance.
• Contribute to recruitment, training and development of staff.
• Deliver excellent customer service and a great shopping experience.
• Be hands-on on the shop floor, including deliveries and stock handling.
