Job summary

Transforming Support is seeking a Deputy Service Manager to lead its large supported living service in Chipstead. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, guiding a staff team and collaborating with the Registered Manager to uphold high quality, person-centred care.

This is a full-time, permanent leadership role with on-call responsibilities and night checks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising a team and supporting adults with autism or learning disabilities.
• Ability to provide clear operational leadership.
• Strong communication, organisation and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Registered Manager with daily service operations and the operational management of the staff team.
• Guiding, supporting and motivating colleagues to deliver consistently high standards.
• Providing visible, approachable leadership and clear direction within a busy supported living service.
• Working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to coordinate effective support.
• Promoting person centred, recovery focused approaches to wellbeing.
• Supporting assessments, new placements and safe transitions into the service.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and governance through audits and Service Improvement Plans.
• Helping shape decisions about staffing, service development and improvements.
• Working with the Registered Manager to monitor budgets and use resources effectively.
• Participating in the on call rota and carrying out night spot checks where required.
