A leading fostering charity is seeking a Deputy Manager for the Step Forward Fostering initiative in Leeds and Bradford. This role involves the operational management and expansion of fostering hubs, ensuring alignment with local authority needs. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for fostering, experience in managing teams, and skills in business development. £44,756 per annum (increasing to £49,729 in 18 months) + £750 per annum Homeworking Allowance

Location: Home-based – Applicants should live in or be close to Leeds & Bradford as they will be required to travel across these areas for home visits to support carers and children. Travel also requires the post holder to attend staff meetings in Yorkshire.

As the Deputy Manager (Step Forward Fostering), you will be responsible for the development, expansion, carer recruitment and operational management of Step Forward fostering hubs across the regional area. Which will involve engaging with and working in partnership with others to deliver a network of hubs across the region that meet children and young people’s needs as well as the Local Authority’s needs

The Deputy Manager (Step Forward Fostering) will be based in Leeds and Bradford, as travel across the region will be required. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to face-to-face meetings in Yorkshire at least once a month, as well as for other occasions, such as training and team wellbeing events.
An Enhanced DBS clearanceis required for this role and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
