Job summary

The Tufted Duck, a pub in Tring and part of Acorn Pubs, has reopened after refurbishment and is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead the guest experience and team during the relaunch.

You’ll oversee busy services, train and manage staff, and help decide drinks and events to support a refreshed pub culture and guest journey.

Qualifications

• Experience as a deputy manager or assistant restaurant manager in a gastro pub, restaurant, bar or hotel.
• Proven ability to lead a busy service and train a team.
• Strong guest-service focus with the ability to shape a refreshed guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and look after customers, train and lead bar/waiting team.
• Manage busy services and run special events.
• Decide beers on tap, gins and wines, and plan events to relaunch the pub.

About you...

As Assistant Manager you'll be at the heart of our management team helping to ensure the smooth running of our busy pub. You'll be welcoming and looking after customers, helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team, managing busy services and running special events. You'll also be involved in deciding what beers to have on tap, which gins and wines we serve and what events to run.
