Job summary

The Royal Foresters in Ascot, part of the Acorn Pubs estate, is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead a busy, high-volume site that combines hospitality with 24 bedrooms and a thriving food and drink operation.

You will inspire a large team, drive guest experiences under pressure and develop into a future General Manager. Enjoy a generous package, training and clear career progression.

Responsibilities

• Help lead and run the busy pub alongside the Pub Manager.
• Manage busy services, plan and run special events, welcome and look after customers.
• Train and lead the bar/waiting team and oversee beverage offerings (beers, gins, wines).
• Drive performance and guest satisfaction while maintaining standards.

We're looking for an exceptional Deputy Manager to join The Royal Foresters, Ascot– our flagship venue that has recently benefited from a £1 million refurbishment, cementing its position as one of the most aspirational hospitality destinations in the region.

This is no ordinary Deputy Manager role. The Royal Foresters is a high-volume, multi-faceted business generating £100,000+ in weekly sales, with 24 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a thriving food and drink operation, and a reputation for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Located in the heart of Ascot, the site comes alive during the world-famous racing season, with Ascot Week presenting one of the biggest and most exciting trading periods of the year. Success here requires energy, resilience and exceptional leadership.

We're looking for a Deputy Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently lead and inspire a large team, and has the ambition to develop into a future General Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong operator who wants to gain experience in a flagship business and prove themselves at the highest level.

About you...

As Deputy Manager you'll be working alongside the Pub Manager helping to lead the team and run our busy pub. You'll be managing busy services, planning and running special events, welcoming and looking after customers as well as helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team. You'll be drawing on your knowledge and experience to decide what beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands on role where you’ll be at the heart of everything going on ensuring that things run smoothly.
