Job summary

M&D Care is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead a dedicated team delivering person-centred care to vulnerable adults in Supported Living services, Swansea. You will drive operational excellence, staff development, and high care standards.

The role requires leadership experience in social care, a solid understanding of regulatory standards, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, individualised support in complex needs settings.

Qualifications

  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
  • Experience leading a team within the care sector.
  • Understanding of the care sector regulatory framework, essential standards and inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to vulnerable adults, supporting quality of life.
  • Assist the Manager in implementing policies, procedures and service objectives.
  • Lead operations in the Manager's absence to ensure continuity and high standards.
  • Maintain and evaluate care records for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Supervise and support staff development through training and appraisals.
  • Monitor care quality across the team and promote best practices.
  • Promote dignity, independence and wellbeing through meaningful activities.
  • Work flexibly on a rota including early, late, night and weekend shifts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and respond to operational needs promptly.
