M&D Care Limited is recruiting a Care Assistant for our specialist residential service in Hirwaun, Wales. You will provide emotional and practical care in a supportive, family-oriented environment.

No experience is required as full training will be given, though a driving licence is essential to access our sites. You will join a team delivering person-centred care to adults with complex needs, with a focus on dignity, independence, and safety.

Qualifications

• Full training provided for all new carers.
• Higher rate for QCF Level 2 qualified candidates.
• A driving licence is essential for this post.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
• Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
• Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
• Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
• Work flexibly on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Full job description

Join our passionate team at M&D Care as a Care Assistant in our specialist residential service Hirwaun and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. As a Support Worker, you will provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but having the right values is important to us. Joining our Specialist Services team means working with some of the most complex individuals we support. Previous experience in a similar setting and a proactive approach whilst following specific plans are highly valued. M&D Care are an established family-oriented business, which is run by a passionate team of professionals who deliver specialist, complex and bespoke care services throughout Southwest Wales.
