Job summary

Voyage Care is looking for a Deputy Service Manager to lead our residential service in Dinnington, Rotherham. You will manage a dynamic team to enhance the quality of life for the people we support, developing and implementing person-centred plans and overseeing assessments and staff development.

The role requires experience in care management, a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification, and experience with autism and complex needs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading residential services and overseeing care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of colleagues to improve residents' independence.
• Develop and implement person-centred support plans.
• Carry out care needs assessments and recruit/induct new staff.
• Conduct supervisions and appraisals, and complete medication competencies/audits.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and prepare reports.
• Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day service management.
• Take part in on-call rota as required.

Deputy Service Managers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Service Manager to join us in leading our residential service in Dinnington, Rotherham. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

Our Deputy Service Managers will be responsible for managing a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives. You could be developing and implementing person centred support plans, conducting care needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, completing supervisions/appraisals, completing medication competencies and medication audits, attending mutli-disciplinary meetings, completing reports and generally assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our service. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Deputy Service Managers play a central role in team leadership and have a hands‑on approach to care management.

You will also take part in the on‑call rota (although this may be subject to change depending on the needs of the service).

We’re interested in our Deputy Service Managers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Deputy Service Manager should have previous experience in a care management role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
