St George’s Nursery, Aylestone is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support daily operations and lead a dedicated team. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to maintain high standards of care and education while driving quality and safeguarding across the setting.

This role offers progression within a growing nursery group and the opportunity to develop leadership skills toward a future Nursery Manager position.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in an Early Years setting.

Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take the next step in your leadership career?

At St George’s Nursery Group, we’re looking for an ambitious and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join our Aylestone nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong senior practitioner, Room Leader, Third-in-Charge or existing Deputy Manager who is looking to develop their leadership skills and progress towards a Nursery Manager position in the future.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager and leadership team, you’ll play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care and education, supporting operational excellence, and creating an environment where children, families and colleagues can thrive.

About the Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the nursery and provide leadership across the setting. You’ll inspire and coach your team, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, champion quality practice, and lead by example. You will also have opportunities to work alongside our experienced leadership team and dedicated Training and Quality Manager, gaining valuable skills and experience that will prepare you for the next stage of your career.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
• Previous leadership experience within an Early Years setting
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive, proactive and supportive leadership style
• Passion for delivering exceptional childcare and education
• Ambition to develop professionally and progress within a growing nursery group
