Job summary

St George’s Nursery, Aylestone is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to support daily operations and lead a dedicated team. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to maintain high standards of care and education while driving quality and safeguarding across the setting.

This role offers progression within a growing nursery group and the opportunity to develop leadership skills toward a future Nursery Manager position.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in an Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ambition to progress within a growing nursery group.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of care and education.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the daily running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Promote outstanding standards of care, learning and safeguarding.
• Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and all relevant policies and procedures.
• Support staff development through coaching, mentoring and supervision.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
• Monitor practice and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager’s absence.
• Support occupancy growth and ensure excellent customer experiences for families.
