Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Lilac Alliance in Peterborough is recruiting a Deputy Branch Manager for our Home Care service. You will support the Registered Manager, oversee referrals from enquiry to start of care, and ensure runs are covered with consistent carers.
You’ll lead the office team and care staff, conduct supervisions, audits and training, and keep the service inspection-ready for CQC. The role includes an on-call rota, mileage allowances, and a clear progression path.
Ready to be the right hand of a growing home care service?
This is a brand-new role. Our client, a CQC Good-rated home care provider in Peterborough, has grown steadily over the past year and is strengthening its management team. They’re looking for an experienced dom care leader to work alongside the Registered Manager and help run the service day to day.
They deliver over 2,000 care hours a week to more than 120 people across Peterborough and the surrounding villages. Most of the work is commissioned by Peterborough City Council, with some private clients, and carers work on geographic runs. Alongside home care, they have smaller, growing live-in, supported living and children’s services, which you’d help to develop.
You’ll lead the office team: a Senior Care Coordinator, Care Coordinators, a Care Administrator (Recruitment & Compliance), and Care Compliance Officers who carry out spot checks and investigations.
You’ll deputise for the Registered Manager and take the lead on the day-to-day running of the service. That means managing referrals from first enquiry to start of care, making sure runs are covered and carers are consistent, and acting on missed or late calls the same day.
The role is around 60% office-based and 40% in the community, carrying out assessments, reviews and spot checks. You’ll also lead supervisions, appraisals and training, oversee audits and safeguarding, and keep the service CQC inspection-ready. You’ll work closely with families, social workers, health professionals and commissioners, and take part in the on-call rota around one week in four.
It would be a real bonus if you have experience supporting children and young people, ideally children’s packages in the community or working with families and children’s social care. Their children’s service is growing, and they’d love someone who can help develop it.
Level 4 isn’t essential. If you’re working towards it, or have strong dom care experience without it, we’d still love to hear from you.
