Job summary

Cityworx Ltd. is recruiting a Deputy Care Manager for the Peterborough area to support the Registered Manager across Domiciliary, Live-In Care, Supported Living and Children's Care.

You will lead service setup, drive quality and compliance, and deputise for the Registered Manager when needed. This hands-on role requires strong leadership and IT literacy to manage referrals and care teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior or management role in domiciliary care.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practice.
• Proven leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• Confident using IT systems and have a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in daily service operations.
• Oversee intake and coordination of new referrals.
• Conduct assessments, reviews and ensure care plans are current.
• Supervise and mentor care staff and coordinators.
• Support recruitment, induction and ongoing staff training.
• Handle rota planning, absence management and HR issues.
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal policies.
• Contribute to audits, service improvements and change initiatives.
• Communicate with service users, families, staff and external professionals.
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support.

Are you an experienced care professional with a passion for leadership and quality care delivery? We are recruiting a Deputy Care Manager to join a well-established domiciliary care service in the Peterborough area.

You’ll support the Registered Manager in running in running all services for Domiciliary, Live-In Care, Supported Living and Children's Care, safely, effectively and in line with CQC regulations and commissioner contracts.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will oversee referral intake and service set-up, lead and develop the office and care teams, carry out assessments and reviews, drive compliance and quality, and deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence. You will understand the differences between our services – from safeguarding children to matching live-in carers – and make sure each is delivered to the standard people and commissioners expect

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

• NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
• Experience with care management systems (e.g. PASS, Care Planner)
• Knowledge of local authority commissioning processes
