Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen our depot operations management team in the Crawley area. You will work closely with Owner Drivers and Employed Drivers, fostering engagement and high performance to deliver outstanding service.

You will lead a fast-paced operation, set routes, monitor SPR and service levels, and ensure proper resources and documentation are in place. Join a business that values passion, respect and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced operation with direct people management responsibility.
• Strong communication skills to inspire and manage a team.
• Decisive problem-solving, time management and reporting abilities.

• Excellent computer skills and data analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot targets for Core Routes and SPR are achieved.
• Set up and optimise delivery and collection routes.
• Oversee driver loading, scanning and on-time delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Ensure adequate resources for ad-hoc collections via pools or agencies.
• Complete documentation and systems in line with requirements.
• Develop KPIs for service, cost, productivity, transport and safety.
• Achieve depot clear in line with targets.
