Job summary

Stagecoach Banbury Depot is seeking a Duty Manager to lead frontline driving teams, overseeing performance, safety and service delivery in a busy depot environment.

You will mentor staff, manage attendance, and collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and excellent customer outcomes. The role requires proven people leadership, strong planning skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Management or supervisory experience in bus/transport preferred.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of Road Traffic Act and Employment legislation.
• Excellent planning and prioritising skills.
• Customer-focused and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop frontline teams, mentoring staff and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Oversee performance management and development plans to improve productivity.
• Coaching & training with the training function to ensure skills development.
• Handle attendance, grievances and disciplinary procedures fairly.
• Collaborate with drivers, managers and stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Manage daily depot operations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Engage with external bodies to maximise business opportunities and promote public relations.
• Promote high safety standards and ensure everyone goes home safely.
