Job summary

Stagecoach Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Depot Operations Manager to lead a team of around 300 drivers and Duty Managers. You will cultivate a safety-first culture, drive reliable, high-quality services, and steer day-to-day operations with a focus on cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Joining during a period of fleet modernization, you will shape depot performance, coach talent, and collaborate with engineering and local partners to keep communities connected and moving across

Qualifications

• Experience in leading large teams and driving customer service excellence.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to develop teams and influence stakeholders at local level.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large depot team including ~300 drivers and Duty Managers.
• Create a positive culture prioritising safety and customer satisfaction.
• Plan cost-efficient operations and ensure day-to-day service quality.
• Drive performance while maintaining safety, reliability and service standards.
• Build relationships with colleagues, trade unions, local stakeholders and partners.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to deliver depot results.
