Job summary

GAP Group is recruiting a General Manager to lead a thriving depot within our nationwide Plant & Tool Division. You will own the Profit Centre, shape strategy, and drive high performance across operations, sales, and service for construction, utilities, and infrastructure customers.

You will manage a talented team, develop talent, and ensure asset quality while pursuing revenue growth. This leadership role combines hands-on business influence with strategic oversight in a fast-growing industry.

Qualifications

• Proven operational leadership experience in a depot or hire industry preferred.
• Strong P&L and commercial awareness with cost control.
• Track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.
• Knowledge of Plant & Tool equipment and regional customer base is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the depot team to drive performance and exceed customer expectations.
• Own and manage the Profit Centre, influencing recruitment, training, and procurement.
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue with new and existing customers.
• Ensure quality and compliance through audits and regular customer visits.
