Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a General Manager to lead a depot within our Plant & Tool Division in the UK. You will own the Profit Centre, shape strategy, and drive a high-performing team delivering exceptional service to construction, utilities, and infrastructure customers.

This role focuses on depot operations, revenue growth, and ensuring quality and compliance through audits and customer visits, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, training, purchasing, and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Proven operational management experience in a similar industry.
• Strong leadership ensuring a high-performing team.
• Experience managing P&L and growing revenue opportunities.
• Knowledge of Plant & Tool equipment and local customer base is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the depot team to drive performance and exceed customer expectations.
• Own and manage the Profit Centre, from recruitment to procurement and training.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow revenue with new and existing customers.
• Ensure quality and compliance through audits and regular customer visits.
