Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in East Grinstead is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade, producing food across restaurant, brasserie, and room service with rosette-standard dishes. You will assist with menu planning, receive and store items, and help maintain HACCP and kitchen cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers £28,000 per annum plus a monthly service charge, 4 weeks holiday rising with service, plus parking, uniform, and generous staff

Qualifications

• Teamwork and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in plating.
• Time management to meet service demands.
• Good knowledge of food safety practices and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food to rosette standards across service periods.
• Assist Chef de Partie with daily menu planning and section prep.
• Receive, store and manage stock for your section.
• Support the Chef de Partie during service and banqueting.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen per HACCP guidelines.
