Job summary

The Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, Turners Hill near East Grinstead, is seeking a Pastry Chef de Partie to join a 3 Rosette kitchen in a busy brigade. You will work with 3 full-time and 2 part-time pastry chefs to craft house-made breads, desserts, pastries for our restaurants and banqueting events.

Based at Alexander House in Turners Hill, the role offers £30,000 per annum, 45-hour weeks with paid overtime, monthly service charge, and 4 weeks holiday rising with service, plus a range of

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality pastry environment required.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Creative flair for desserts and afternoon tea items.
• Experience in banqueting and wedding cake production.
• Stock control and ordering experience.
• Excellent team player with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Produce plated desserts to Rosette standards with consistency.
• Assist in designing and updating pastry menus for restaurant and banqueting.
• Oversee pastry station and supervise junior staff.
• Assist with stock control and ordering.
• Help deliver high-quality pastries for weddings and events.
