Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in East Grinstead, UK, is seeking a Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team in a 3 Rosette kitchen.

You will design menus with the Exec Chef, produce plated desserts to Rosette standards, manage stock and training for 2 CDPs and 2 Commis Chefs, and deliver outstanding afternoon tea and banqueting desserts.

This role offers a competitive £40,000 salary plus monthly service charge, 45-hour week, and extensive staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a pastry section in a quality hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to deliver plated desserts to Rosette standard and manage menus for banqueting.
• Strong stock control and team leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead pastry team of 2 CDPs and 2 Commis Chefs in a 3 Rosette kitchen.
• Produce all in-house desserts, breads, ice creams and cakes for restaurants and events.
• Order and stock control; design menus with Executive Chef for afternoon tea, restaurant and banqueting.
