Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing ingredients, cooking components of dishes, and assembling plates according to recipes and specifications.
  • Manage a designated section of the kitchen, such as sauces, vegetables, or desserts, under the guidance of the Chef de Partie.
  • Ensure food quality and presentation by adhering to portioning and plating standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in your work area, including workstations and equipment.
  • Support team collaboration by coordinating tasks and communicating effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Handle food ingredients properly, following hygiene and safety procedures to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Assist in training junior staffand commis chefs, providing guidance and support.
  • Monitor inventory and stock levels for your section, reporting shortages and assisting with orders.
  • Participate in quality control measures, including taste testing and visual inspection of dishes.
Safety and Company Policies
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
