A leading UK local authority seeks a Delivery Support Manager to oversee financial and operational data within the Integrated Passenger Transport Unit. This role leads the engine room of the busy and successful Integrated Passenger Transport Unit. You will be responsible for ensuring our financial and operational data is up to date; our strategy work has the best evidence to support it; and our budgets are built using the best available information. You will be part of the management team and work with expert colleagues across a very diverse set of services. You will manage a small and highly expert team.
Lead a team of officers to produce intelligence and insight to provide advice and guidance regarding current performance and future requirements of the Essex Transport Network within the Integrated Passenger Transport Unit (IPTU)
This role will have direct responsibility for providing high quality insight and delivery of financial, operational and performance modelling and analysis, using this to shape the strategy and direction of the IPTU. This role will engage with stakeholders and provide expert advice and direction to senior officers and members regarding the opportunities and financial impact of changes to Essex's transport network to support the commercial ambitions of the IPTU.
The role includes working closely with Finance colleagues to ensure the £86m service budget is managed effectively through the relevant financial system. This includes liaising with service colleagues, finance colleagues and suppliers. It also includes supporting the management of around £30m of grant funding investing in exciting projects including electrifying the Basildon bus fleet, transforming the bus shelter estate and introducing digital booking and payments.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, the manager will develop and implement the overall strategic vision of integrated transport.
