Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose quality and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. You’ll deliver orders, restock and support shop tasks when not on the road, in a friendly team environment.

This part-time role offers varied hours (28 hours across seven days) with flexible working options. A valid UK licence, good customer service and the ability to lift crates are essential.

Qualifications

• Full valid UK B-category driving licence with few or zero penalty points.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Ability to manage physical tasks such as lifting crates.
• Comfortable working independently with self-motivation and adaptability.
• Basic IT literacy for ordering and records.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day and plan efficiently.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries and deliver orders to customers.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with high levels of customer service.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust.
• Support the shop team with general duties when not on deliveries.
