Job summary

William Wilson, part of the Wolseley Group, is recruiting for an HGV Driver in Inverness. You will drive an 18-tonne truck, deliver materials to building sites, and support on-site branches while providing excellent customer service to customers and tradespeople.

The role is full-time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with benefits including pension, annual leave, and potential bonuses. CPC training and a Class 2 license are required.

Qualifications

• Previous HGV driving experience required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Valid HGV Class 2 license and CPC training completed.

Responsibilities

• Drive an 18 tonne truck to delivery sites.
• Deliver materials to building sites, loading/unloading as needed.
• Provide on-site deliveries to branches.
• Ensure goods are handled safely and efficiently.
• Deliver excellent customer service to plumbers on-site.
• Report delivery issues to transport office promptly.

As a HGV Driver based in Inverness you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 18 tonne truck
• Delivering materials to building sites, which includes loading and unloading vehicles
• Supplying on-site deliveries to branches
• Ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently
• Providing exceptional customer service when dealing with plumbers on-site
• Calling into the office with any delivery issues, keeping the transport team up to date

This is a full-time, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week, Monday Friday.
