Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join a leading consultancy delivering complex infrastructure, construction, and defence programmes across the UK. You will support the delivery of MOD projects, providing cost planning, estimating, commercial management, and cost assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

This role offers hybrid working, professional development, and chartership support within a growing consultancy.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or Cost Consultant.
• Strong understanding of construction cost management.
• Experience preparing estimates, cost plans, and reports.
• Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). Current SC clearance preferred.
• Membership of RICS, CIOB, ACostE, or equivalent.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Consultancy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and detailed cost plans at all project stages.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasting models.
• Manage procurement and tendering activities.
• Review contractor submissions and change requests.
• Provide contract administration support and commercial advice.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets.
• Produce cost reports for senior stakeholders and clients.
• Support risk and value management exercises.
• Work with project managers, planners, engineers, and client teams.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
