Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting Quantity Surveyors for Defence sector projects across the UK. The role focuses on cost estimation, project controls, and collaboration with client and contractor teams on delivery and value engineering. Hybrid working is available to support work-life balance.

The successful candidate will have estimating/QS qualifications and infrastructure sector experience, with strong MS Office and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Estimating, Quantity Surveying or Cost Engineering.
• Experience of working in the Infrastructure sectors (Rail, air, power, highways).
• Proven ability to compile and deliver complex estimates and cost models.
• Experience in an integrated Project Controls team and public procurement.
• Strong MS Office skills and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with clients and project teams.
• Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to budget.
• Monitor cost variance and contract cash flows; ensure timely applications.
• Collaborate with client and contractor teams on KPIs, delivery and value engineering.
• Support change management and final accounts; promote estimating best practices.
• Work in a team or independently with limited supervision.
