Valarian Technologies Limited in London is seeking a pragmatic Business Development Manager - Defence to shape and execute our defence market strategy across government, primes and end users. You’ll own account mapping, bid and capture management, and ensure compliance with UK security classifications.

You’ll lead a small BD team, develop scalable GTM playbooks, manage audits and forge strong relationships with primes and government stakeholders in a high-growth, highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading BD in defence/government environments.
• Deep knowledge of defence procurement and how to win in it.
• Hands‑on capture management, bid and proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee defence BD strategy and execution.
• Build defence market posture including security clearances.
• Design scalable go‑to‑market across government, primes, integrators.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to align offering for defence customers.
• Develop BD playbooks, processes and governance.
• Lead opportunity management, account mapping and pipeline generation.
• Own bid and proposal development, capture management, RFIs/RFPs.
• Manage relationships with primes, government stakeholders and industry bodies.
