Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is recruiting a Humanities Teacher for a long-term supply role in partnership with a specialist Alternative Provision in Dudley. You will teach Humanities across Key Stage 3 and 4, with some English, in a setting that supports learners facing barriers to education.

You will work with a dedicated team in smaller class sizes, focusing on progress, behaviour, and personal development, to help students reconnect with learning and achieve their next steps.

Qualifications

• QTS and UK teaching registration.
• Experience teaching Humanities at GCSE.
• Experience in Alternative Provision/SEMH is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Humanities to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Support students with SEMH needs and barriers to learning.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently.
• Encourage students to re-engage with education and develop confidence.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff and wider school team.
• Support students to develop skills for next steps.
