Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a respected middle school in Redditch, West Midlands, to recruit a Humanities Teacher for KS3 on a long-term temporary basis with immediate start.

You will deliver engaging Humanities lessons, mark work, plan lessons and work with colleagues to maintain high standards of education. QTS is required, with a focus on student progress.

• Experience teaching Humanities in secondary or middle settings
• Experience delivering lessons to KS3 students
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and ability to build positive student relationships

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a respected middle school based in Redditch, who are looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher. This school provides a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential through a strong focus on learning, development and positive relationships.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Humanities Teacher on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Humanities Teacher will be teaching KS3 students across Humanities subjects, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students throughout their learning journey. The role will also involve marking work, planning lessons and working closely with colleagues to ensure a high standard of education.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Humanities within a secondary or middle school setting
• Experience delivering lessons to KS3 students
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
• A committed and adaptable approach to teaching
