Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a well-known secondary school in Kings Heath, Birmingham, seeking a Humanities Teacher to cover KS3 on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Humanities lessons, manage classes effectively, mark work, and participate in parents' evenings, supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Salary: £140 - £195 per day

The school is looking to take on an experienced Humanities Teacher on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Humanities Teacher will be teaching KS3 students, delivering Humanities lessons and general cover across the timetable. The role will also involve marking work and taking part in parents’ evenings, requiring a committed and organised Humanities Teacher.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Humanities within a secondary school setting
• Experience delivering lessons to KS3 students
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
• A committed and adaptable approach to teaching
