Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is partnering with a specialist Alternative Provision in Dudley to recruit a dedicated Humanities Teacher for a long-term supply position. You will teach Humanities across KS3 and KS4, including some English when planned, in a structured, supportive setting.

You will join a team focused on individual progress, behaviour and personal development, with smaller class sizes and strong pastoral support.

Qualifications

• Proven classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Experience in Alternative Provision, SEMH or SEND is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach Humanities to KS3 and KS4 with accessible, engaging lessons.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons
• Support students with SEMH needs and barriers to learning
• Build positive relationships with students and staff
• Manage behaviour calmly and consistently
• Encourage re-engagement with education and personal development
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to individual needs
• Collaborate with pastoral staff and wider school team
• Support students to develop skills and knowledge for next steps
