Job summary

Leeds Citiz ens Advice & Law Centre is seeking a Debt Adviser to provide debt advice and casework in person and over the phone, supporting clients in vulnerable circumstances.

The role involves budgeting, debt solutions, liaising with third parties, and developing specialist skills in debt and money advice, with training and flexible hybrid working. Applicants should have strong IT and communication skills and be able to manage an active caseload independently.

Qualifications

• Strong IT and communication skills with ability to listen and engage with vulnerable clients.
• Organised, able to work independently and manage a caseload.
• Willingness to train and develop specialist skills in debt and money advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide debt advice and casework in person and over the phone for a wide range of clients.
• Advise on priority and non-priority debts, budgeting and income maximisation.
• Liaise with third parties to manage client issues and support debt solutions.
