Job summary

Suffolk Mind is recruiting a Wellbeing Support Worker for the REST Hub in Bury St Edmunds. The role supports individuals experiencing mental distress through warm, person-centred emotional support in a daytime drop-in hub, with both informal contact and structured 1:1 sessions.

You will help create a safe, inclusive space and may lead small group activities, collaborating with a team to ensure accessibility and wellbeing for all attendees.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience of working with adults in a mental health environment.
• Experience of facilitating support groups and delivering 1:1 emotional support.
• Enhanced & Adult's DBS check arranged by Suffolk Mind.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred emotional support in the REST Hub space and in 1:1 sessions.
• Deliver small group activities promoting wellbeing where appropriate.
• Work with the team to maintain a safe, accessible and welcoming environment.
