Job summary

Bob & Berts is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our daytime kitchen, ensuring smooth breakfast and lunch services with a hands-on approach. You will manage the team, stock, and standards while keeping shifts daytime and weekends.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, on-time service, and maintaining safety and quality in a busy café environment. Early mornings and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Aged 18 or over.
• At least two years’ relevant experience as Kitchen Manager or similar.
• Current Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Calm, organised and hands-on under pressure.
• Availability for early-morning and weekend shifts.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead breakfast and lunch services with a hands-on approach.
• Train, coach, and organise kitchen colleagues; create rotas.
• Ensure dishes are prepared quickly, safely, and to standard.
• Manage ordering, deliveries, stocktakes, waste and food costs.
• Maintain excellent hygiene, allergen, cleaning, and safety records.
• Coordinate with front of house and contribute ideas for specials.
